In addition to Pierpont Gallery, Mary is also exhibiting at the The Macon Arts Alliance, in Macon, GA.

Using nature and color as inspiration, Mary renders photographic images into imaginary and/or abstract works of art. All of Mary’s works begin with multiple, and often unrelated photographs or pieces of photos.  Those photos can come from anywhere.  They might be of the beautiful art in cemeteries or from contemporary or historical architecture of small towns and cities like Quitman, Thomasville, Atlanta, Charleston, or Dublin.  Or maybe they’re taken from a river in Ireland, an empty beach in Florida, or a dense forest in South Carolina.  The subjects of those same photographs could be of any thing or any object…concrete, sand, a brick wall, insects, wildlife, or long forgotten, decaying remnants of houses once filled with love...or not.  Sometimes they’re just from the lush and humble beauty of her backyard in Georgia.  Photos are taken and rendered by Mary.  Each of her finished works is professionally printed in a variety of mediums including canvas or Watercolor Paper. Mary has trained with world renowned Sebastian Michaels, Caroline Julia Moore, Jason Horejs, and Dave Cross, and enjoys a professional/student community of like-minded artists from around the world.
